Few months ago I ported Festival Lite speech synthesizer to iPhone OS 3.0 and write down a simple application that use it. Here there are two screenshots of it:
The implementation uses the suggestions contained in this post, I also removed all warnings and add target for a static library. Mail me if you are interested to this project.
I am definitely interested in tts on the iPhone, and working with flite and espeak (on the iPhone and on MacOSX generally). Immediately I'm interested in how to pump out arbitrary chunks of data to audio; I'm also interested in improving espeak (particular language Welsh, but also in general).
I just found your posts and the Architectonic post this morning. First thing, I'll work through CKS' suggestions. Later, maybe we could find a way to work together? Are you publishing your projects?
